Attach a receipt to an expense
Applies to Workletto 1.x.
Each expense can have one receipt: a photo or a PDF. Attach it after you have added the expense.
Attach a receipt
Section titled “Attach a receipt”- Open Expenses and find the expense.
- Click the More actions button (the three dots) at the right of the row, then Attach receipt.
- Choose the file.
The row then shows a Receipt link next to its other labels.
Files can be JPEG, PNG or WebP photos, or PDFs, up to 5 MB. Workletto checks the file’s contents as well as its name. If it is too big or the wrong kind, a message appears on the expense and nothing is saved.
Open a receipt
Section titled “Open a receipt”Click Receipt on the expense. Photos open in a new browser tab. PDFs are downloaded instead of shown, which keeps them out of the app’s own pages.
Replace or remove it
Section titled “Replace or remove it”Open More actions again. The first item now reads Replace receipt, and Remove receipt is below it. Removing asks “Remove the receipt from this expense?” before it deletes the file.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- You attach, replace and remove receipts on your own expenses. Your Expenses page lists your own expenses only.
- Expenses already on an invoice can still have receipts, even though the expense itself can’t be changed.
- Admins and managers can open anyone’s receipt, for billing and reimbursement, if they have its address. Members can open only their own. The Expenses page itself lists only your own expenses.
- Deleting an expense deletes its receipt.
- Attaching, replacing and removing a receipt are recorded in History, by file name.
- The file is stored in your own database, so your backups include it.
