Use your own address

Applies to Workletto 1.x.

Your host gives your app an address of its own, such as one ending in .onrender.com on Render. You can move it to one on your own domain, such as time.yourstudio.com, in about 15 minutes. Your clients then see that address on invoice payment links, and your team signs in there.

Use a subdomain, like time. or hours.. The app can’t run inside a folder of another website, like yourstudio.com/time.

You need access to your domain’s DNS settings, wherever your domain is managed (for example Cloudflare, GoDaddy or Squarespace).

  1. In Render, open your app’s web service, then Settings → Custom Domains, and add your address, for example time.yourstudio.com.

  2. Where your domain is managed, add a CNAME record. Its name is the first part of your address (time) and its value is your app’s .onrender.com address. If your domain has an AAAA record for that name, remove it.

  3. Back in Render, wait until the address shows as verified. Render sets up HTTPS for it by itself.

  4. In Environment, add BETTER_AUTH_URL with your new address, starting with https://, for example https://time.yourstudio.com. Save. Render restarts the app with the new setting.

Render’s free workspace plan includes 2 custom domains, as checked in October 2026.

Point your address at the app as your host describes, make sure it has HTTPS, and set BETTER_AUTH_URL to it. See Install on another host.

  • Open the app at the new address and sign in again. From now on, use the new address.
  • Invite links, password reset links and invoice payment links use the new address from now on.
  • If you have connected Stripe, open Manage → Payments. It says that Stripe sends payment notifications to your old address. Click Send them here and confirm. Until you do, payments still arrive, a few minutes later. See Let clients pay online.
