User groups
Applies to Workletto 1.x.
Groups are teams or departments, like “Design” or “Studio B”. You can filter the Team page, Schedule, Approvals and Reports by group, and add a whole group to a project. A person can be in several groups. Groups never change what anyone can see or do: roles stay as they are.
Make a group (admins)
Section titled “Make a group (admins)”On the Team page, under Groups:
- Type a name under New group (up to 60 characters) and click Add group. Two groups can’t share a name.
- Click Change beside the group, tick the people in it, and click Save group. You can rename it there too.
Each group lists its people. Delete removes the group after you confirm; its people stay, with their time and projects. Making, changing and deleting groups is recorded in the History. Admins and managers can use groups; only admins make and change them.
Filter by a group
Section titled “Filter by a group”Once there are groups, these pages get a Group list, with All groups or one group:
- Team: the people in the group, with their hours.
- Schedule: the group’s planned hours.
- Approvals: weeks the group’s people submitted.
- Reports: the group’s time and expenses, beside the Client, Project and Person filters.
Add a group to a project
Section titled “Add a group to a project”On a project’s Settings tab, under Team, choose a group in Add a group’s people and click Add group. Its people are ticked, the project switches to Only the people I choose, and you click Save project to keep it. The team is still a list of people: someone who joins the group later isn’t added to the project, and people whose account is turned off aren’t added.
In exports
Section titled “In exports”The CSV files for time and expenses under Manage, Import & export have a Groups column with each person’s groups. So does Export CSV on Reports, for admins and managers.
